kinectin

kinectin
Integral membrane protein (160 kD) of the endoplasmic reticulum and probably other membrane compartments; binds to kinesin and is the membrane anchor for kinesin-driven vesicle movement. Kinectin has extensive a -helical coiled-coil regions and, like the myosin tail with which it has sequence and structural similarities, may form a very long molecule, possibly 100 nm in length when fully extended.
